1970s Scottish Plaid Kilt and Cape from Jenners, Size M
Beautifully made plaid kilt and amazing cape made for Jenners in Scotland. The tailoring and design are top notch and the quality really shows in this outstanding outfit. The kilt is a wrap that is doubled across the front and closes to the side with leather and metal buckles. The cape is expertly shaped around the shoulders and it has gorgeous patch pockets and slits to let your arms through for practicality. I love the big rounded collar and big showy buttons. The cape is lined with a quality satin and the skirt is unlined. There is minor wear to the black leather straps of the skirt and they have a slight curl to them. Both pieces are in very good condition, clean and ready to wear.
Jenners was the first independent department store in Scotland until it closed just a couple of years ago and has been referred to as the Harrod's of the north. There flagship building is a listed historical building and has been purchased to convert to an upscale hotel.
Waist measurement on the skirt is 28 to 29 inches.
