Luxurious 1930’s rolyal blue silk velvet gown. High empire waist skirt is cut on the bias and has an inset panel at the rear that flatters and accentuates. The bodice gathers into the skirt higher at the front and dips down to the waist at the back. A matching belt closes at the front with a very pretty diamanté clasp. Wide bateau neckline has a wide collar that is notched at each shoulder. Wide set in sleeves have thick channeled piping detail and elastic at the wrist. 8” Back opening closes with a hook. There is no zip or snaps, the dress simply slips over your head. This dreamy dress has been safely stored in a museum and is in very good, wearable condition.
*One thing to remember with bias cut dresses is that as they stretch wider, they become shorter.
Waist: 28” to 32”
Belt: 28” but has fabric allowance to alter about four inches.
