1950s Elsie Krassas Shimmery Fit and Flare, 50s Designer Fit and Flare Dress, Size S

An outstanding 1950s dress by Elsie Krassas. The dress is made with top quality heavier weight shimmering Waverley cotton in tones of gold, peach and black and bejewelled on the bodice and hips with peach and ice coloured rhinestones and sequins. Super full skirt, side metal zip, matching belt and two generous sized pockets! The craftsmanship is everything that you would expect from a designer dress, superb! It has just been cleaned and is in excellent condition with no stains, smells, or flaws. Please note that it has been shown with a crinoline underneath so that you can get the full effect of the big skirt but the crinoline is not included with the dress.

Bust: 35" - with a two inch seam allowance that could be released for more room
Waist: 26" - with a two inch seam allowance that could be released for more room
Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Waist to hem: 27"

This exquisite dress is one of the many fabulous items from the estate of Marmie Hess who was one of our VIPs here in Calgary. She lived here, in the same house, for the whole of her 100 year life and was an important cultural leader, rancher, teacher and champion of fine art.
