1950s Handpainted Mexican Souvenir Skirt, Mexican Circle Skirt
Vibrant and beautiful Mexican circle skirt from the 1950s. Stunning hand painted rural design with turquoise sky and brightly depicted village and villagers. The waistband hooks at the front and ties at the back but there's no reason that you couldn't wear it with the waistband hooked at the front and tied to the front. The waistband is set to hook at about 27" around the waist but it could easily be adjusted to fit a 28/29 inch waist - the sides need to meet and overlap at the sides so I wouldn't recommend the skirt for a waist layer than 29 inches. The fabric is heavy weight cotton and it is in very good condition, ready to wear.
Full length of the skirt is 32 inches. There are the remnants of a tag but all I can read is "Mexico" and part of the province. There is also a small size 36 tag.
