1950s Printed Cotton Velveteen Bombshell Dress, Size S

Stunning and unique printed velveteen strapless dress from the 1950s. This is another fabulous dress from the estate of Marmie Hess who was one of our VIPs here in Calgary. I do not see a tag on this dress but we know that most of her clothing was from Holt Renfrew and was altered there for her and sometimes the tag was lost during the process, however, it could be a completely unique dress that was made for her by a professional dressmaker - we do know that she did not make any of the clothing herself.
Anyway, however it came to be, it is stunning and in wonderful condition. The colours are gorgeous and the bodice front details are really interesting and very 1950s. Flattering darts through the midriff for a perfect bit. Back zipper is metal. I have included a photo of the inside of the dress so that you see the amount of fabric that is inside the seams, just incase you need to let it out a bit.

*please note that my mannequin does not stand up straight and is very slippery so it is hard to get a good
photo of the back and it always looks a bit wrinkled, Rest assured that it is very smooth fitting down the back
