70s Hawaiian Batik Halter Wrap Dress, Blue Hawaiian Halter Maxi Dress by Pomare, Size S

Blue Hawaii.  I remember having a very similar dress to this one, but bark cloth,  way back in the 70s.  This one is batik print done in a medium weight cotton, fairly crisp with enough body to hold its shape nicely.  Love the way this dress is Hawaiian but doesn't scream it loud. It's a bit subtle, a bit tiki, a bit sexy and really comfortable. 

It is a Wrap so there is quite a bit of extra room for adjustment but I have shown it on a size XS/S mannequin and the fold over ends at the side for a complete overlap and it seems to fit her with quite a bit of extra to spare. 

The waistband is 38" long and the portion from the side seam to side seam is 14.5" so it could be that it was designed to fit about a 28" waist.  The front bib piece is 11.5" from top to waist and the skirt length is 42".
