1950s Brocade Fit & Flare Dress, Size L/XL

Beautiful and iconic to the era, 1950s fit & flare in purple/black floral brocade! This would be a gorgeous dress for the holidays, your next party, or if you're attending a fall wedding. The fabric is backed with muslin/acetate to the waist, open around the hem, a 2.5" seam allowance at the waist which could be easily tailored larger or smaller if need be.  Gorgeous detailing in the front include a generous swag of fabric that has a large rose at the waist and curved opening at the hemline.  Metal back zipper. Very good condition.  It is shown with a black crinoline underneath which is peaking out at the hemline in the photos - not included in the sale.  The back photo is showing the dress without the crinoline and has been pinned in several inches on a smaller mannequin so you can see the styling details of the neckline and pleating at the back.  A fantastic dress in a stunning colour!
