1950s Lace & Tulle Strapless Wedding Dress, Size M, Vintage Strapless Bridal Gown "Valerie"

Dreamy "Valerie" lace and tulle bridal gown from the 1950s. Very sweet fitted strapless bodice is lace with pearly sequins and cord detailing around the sweetheart neckline. It has light boning for support and zips up the back. The skirt has a top section of lace detailed with with same sequins and cord on both the left and right sides, and then tulle at the bottom all the way to the floor. There is a second layer of tulle and then a third layer which is plain crisp white lining. It is a simple dress and yet has a gorgeous fit and flare vintage silhouette and detailing that is very sweet. This gown would be perfect make a little larger by taking out the original metal zipper and adding a corset lace-up back to it - it is an easy alteration and would suit the dress beautifully.

*Please note that the dress photo was taken with a hoop crinoline under the dress to show it at its fullest. It can, of course, be worn with a lighter crinoline or slip.

Condition: Very good, clean condition. There is a half circle tear in the tulle at the very bottom of the top layer of the skirt at the side. It is hidden in the fullness of the skirt, is very small and not noticeable - please see the last photo where it is shown close-up. There is also a small round hole the size of a pencil eraser in the tulle at the side front of the dress but again, not noticeable at all and I only saw it when I was pressing the tulle.

A princess of a dress! It would also be perfect for a grad or rehearsal dinner and would look lovely with an added sash in the colour of your choice.
