Stunning 50s Heavy Satin Party Dress with Beaded Detail, Size S

Beautiful heavy satin dress with lovely beaded bodice in a heavenly shade of blue. Expertly constructed and shaped, the satin is backed with woven stiffener and there is a detachable crinoline tacked in. It is lovely and perfect for a graduation or other special event. The dress has been taken in quite a bit and there is lots of room to let several inches out. I do not see a tag but this is another treasure from our local VIP Hess estate and most of her dresses were purchased at Holt Renfrew so I'm sure it had a tag that was removed during the alterations. This exquisite dress is one of the many fabulous items from the estate of Marmie Hess who was one of our VIPs here in Calgary. She lived here, in the same house, for the whole of her 100 year life and was an important cultural leader, rancher, teacher and champion of fine art.
